Tiger pays $26,000 for Nike shoes at charity auction

It’s not often Tiger Woods has to buy his Nike shoes, but that was the case Oct. 23 at a gala for Portland’s Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, where Woods dished out $26,000 by proxy for a pair of Batman-themed skateboard kicks.

The auction featured the work of some of the children’s hospitals patients, who collaborated with Nike designers to create and auction shoes, according to the Portland Business Journal. Woods fancied the design of Isaiah Neumayer-Grubb, contributing as the gala raised $1 million, according to the PBJ.
