NFL Week 7 injuries: Texans' Arian Foster out for seasson

Houston Texans Pro Bowl running back Arian Foster is once again out – this time for the season.

In his fourth game back after returning from groin surgery, Foster suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon injury Sunday in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Miami Dolphins. Foster was carried off the field and carted to the locker room.

Texans coach Bill O’Brien confirmed the injury on Monday.

Foster had 125 yards and two TDs from scrimmage, yet it all came in garbage time after the Dolphins built a 41-0 first-half lead. O’Brien seems sure to regret using such a valuable player (on a wet field, too) with so little on the line at that stage of the game.

Here are the other notable injuries from Week 7:

— Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford suffered a left hand injury and will have X-rays. UPDATE: Stafford’s X-rays were negative.

— Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters was carted off with what was described as a lower back injury against the Carolina Panthers.
