Kyrie Irving watched WNBA friends play in Seattle

Kyrie Irving flew to Seattle to watch the Seattle Storm and Phoenix Mercury face off on Friday night. He documented the trip on Snapchat and said he was excited to see his “good friends” Diana Taurasi ( who broke the league’s all-time scoring record last weekend) and Sue Bird go against each other.

After the Mercury beat the Storm 85-82, Irving caught up with some of the players. Then, he talked about the importance of supporting the WNBA, which he has talkedabout before, and how excited he is for his daughter to grow up and love the sport on his Snapchat Story.

Irving said:

“Turned out to be a great success. Got to see all the girls and got to catch up with them, but most of all it’s about the support for just the great game of basketball. It comes all shapes and forms, and those girls are elite. I even saw B.G. (Brittney Griner) catch a dunk tonight, which I’m pretty happy about.
