Joel Embiid, Malcolm Brogdon highlight NBA All-Rookie First Team


The NBA draft isn’t just about the picks. It’s about the fashion as well.

Dario Saric and Malcolm Brogdon, two of the three finalists for the 2016-17 NBA Rookie of the Year Award, were unanimously selected to the All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announced Monday. Both players received 100 First Team votes from a panel of NBA media members.

Saric’s Philadelphia 76ers teammate Joel Embiid, who played just 31 games before undergoing season-ending knee surgery, received the third-most First Team votes (82). He was widely considered the runaway Rookie of the Year favorite before his injury.

The 76ers are the first team with multiple All-Rookie First Team members since 2008 (Kevin Durant and Jeff Green; Seattle SuperSonics).

Making up the rest of the First Team: Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings and Willy Hernangomez of the New York Knicks.
