Big3 officials received a “generous offer” as part of an agreement to move the inaugural 3-on-3 title game across Las Vegas Boulevard to make way for the mega fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor at T-Mobile Arena on Aug. 26.
Big3, Ice Cube’s professional basketball league, had a contract to hold its championship at 1:30 pm local time at T-Mobile Arena. Instead, the game will held at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Big3 officials announced in a news release on Tuesday.
Mayweather and McGregor are expected to fight sometime that evening.
“We are grateful to MGM Resorts, Mayweather Promotions and UFC for presenting us with a generous offer that we could not refuse, ensuring that our fans will have the best experience possible at our Big3 Championship Finals at the MGM Grand Garden Arena,” Big3 said in statement released to USA TODAY Sports…
